He then stated we could accomplish the "dousing of the flame by all of us blowing together at the count of "three". On the count of three, several thousand people "blew" toward the candle but came nowhere close to extinguising it’s flame.
The speaker looked crest fallen and forlorn….he calmly stated to us his apology for wasting our time and energy and then asked a person close to the stage to come up and put the candle out by any means they desired. A young lady promptly did so.
Our speaker then thanked the young woman for demonstrating one of the universal principals of the world; Until somebody gets up off their tail, nothing gets accomplished. Point well made :-).
